Have you considered upgrading your 3d printer to dual extrusion? I've seen guides out there for the ender 3, but nothing yet for the ender 5. Which should probably include a custom metal plate to hold the dual extruders. About to order an ender 5 plus and would love the dual direct drives on it.

Just keep in mind, if the size of your modified hotend/cooler/sensor is larger than stock you will lose some build.. Have you considered upgrading your 3d printer to dual extrusion?
